Wide two-layer/ reversible headband for summer with elastic in the back. Both layers from soft, thin, and breathable viscose fabric. The headband does not slip off the head because it is held in place by the elastic. The headband is wide enough so it will protect your entire head from overheating. Headband sewing pattern includes 7 sizes, The size chart is:
XS size fits: 19 3/4 inches (50 cm) girl head circumference
S size fits: 20 1/2 inches (52 cm) girl head circumference
M size fits: 21 1/4 inches (54 cm) girl/ woman head circumference
L size fits: 22 inches (56 cm) woman head circumference
XL size fits: 22 7/8 inches (58 cm) woman head circumference
XXL size fits: 23 5/8 inches (60 cm) woman head circumference
XXXL size fits: 24 3/8 inches (62 cm) woman head circumference
How to measure the head circumference. Place the string or tape measure around the head about 1/4 inches (0,5 cm) above the ears, completely circling the head. See photo 11 from the photo gallery.
To sew this headband, then you will need:
- Printed, soft, thin, and breathable non-stretch viscose fabric: 39 inches (1 meter) wide – 1 yd (1 meter). This amount of viscose fabric fits all headband sizes.
- Solid color, soft, thin, and breathable non-stretch viscose fabric: 39 inches (1 meter) wide – 1/2 yd (50 cm). This amount of viscose fabric fits all headband sizes.
- Elastic. (Exactly how much elastic is required for each headband size you will find this information in the tutorial as well as in the sewing pattern files).
