The two-layer headscarf made of the soft and breathable woven rayon (viscose) fabric with an elastic that forms the volume and the folds at the back of the neck. To keep the scarf firmly on your head, the scarf has two fabric tapes that can be tied together. The tapes are inside the scarf. But to make the forehead part of the scarf softer, the top of the scarf is formed by two layers of the soft jersey band.

Please Note. My pdf sewing pattern is colored. You will need a color printer to print it.

Headscarf sewing pattern includes 4 sizes:

XL size fits: 24 3/4 – 25 1/2 inches (63 - 65 cm) woman head circumference

L size fits: 23 1/2 - 24 1/2 inches (60 - 62 cm) woman head circumference

M size fits: 22 1/2 - 23 1/4 inches (57 - 59 cm) woman head circumference

S size fits: 21 1/4 – 22 inches (54 - 56 cm) woman head circumference

How to measure the head circumference. Place the string or tape measure around your head about 1/4 inches (0,5 cm) above your ears, completely circling your head.

To sew this headscarf you will need:

Soft woven rayon (viscose) fabric for headscarf. If the rayon fabric is 39 inches (1 meter) wide, then you need to buy 2 1/2 yards (2,5 meters) of that fabric. This amount of fabric fits all scarf sizes.
Stretch jersey fabric for band. If the jersey fabric is 39 inches (1 meter) wide, then you need to buy 1/4 yard (25 cm) of that fabric. This amount of fabric fits all band sizes.
You will need a regular elastic that is 3/8 inches (0,8 cm) wide and 8 inches (20 cm) long for the S size headscarf. Size M will need 9 inches (23 cm) long, L size 10 inches (25,5 cm) long, and XL size 11 inches (28 cm) long.

Tutorial and sewing patterns - all measurements are given in inches (in) and centimeters (cm).
